Julia Iwaszkiewicz educated her voice at Stanisław Moniuszko Music
Academy in Gdańsk as a student of Halina Mickiewiczówna and Aleksandra
Kucharska-Szefler. She graduated with honours in June 2001.
Since 2003 Julia has sung as a guest singer in Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, acting parts of Adela in "Die Fledermaus" by J. Strauss, Olimpia in "Les contes d'Hoffmann" by J. Offenbach, Lakme in "Lakme" by L. Delibes and Queen of the Night in "Die Zauberflöte" by W. A. Mozart and Adina in "L'elisir d'amore" by G. Donizetti.
In 2005 the artist started the engagement in Music Theater in Lublin. She has performed Hanna in "Straszny Dwór" by St. Moniuszko, Frasquita in "Carmen" by G. Bizet, Walentine in "Die Lustige Witwe" by F. Lehar, Kristel in "Der Vogelhändler" by K. Zeller, Arsena in "Der Zigeunerbaron" by J. Strauss also Rosina and Berta in "Il Barbiere di Siviglia" by G. Rossini. She acted the part of Berta during the theatre tournee in Holland in January-February of 2005. The tournee was organized by Supierz Artists Managment.
In 2007 she began cooperation with yet another opera stage – Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, where apart from the part of Gilda ( nominated to the award Sztorm Roku 2007) in "Rigoletto" by G. Verdi she performs the part of Zerlina in "Don Giovanni" by A. Mozart, of Arsena in "Der Zigeunerbaron" by J. Strauss and also of Lucia in "Rape of Lucrecia" by B. Britten.
In the opera season 2008/2009 she was successful as Violetta in G. Verdi’s "La Traviata" (the Music Theatre in Lublin) and as Susanna in W. A. Mozart’s "Le Nozze di Figaro" (Baltic Opera). In the following opera season she has performed Zerbinetta in "Ariadna auf Naxos" by Strauss and Pamina in "Die Zauberflöte" among others.
Julia Iwaszkiewicz has performed in numerous concerts and recitals, she is good at both opera and oratorian music. Her repertoire includes many songs together with various periods arias. She also enjoys performing musical songs and contemporary music.
